Job Overview
As an Equipment Operator, your primary duty will be to operate motorised and technical Ground Support Equipment (GSE) safely and efficiently. You’ll play a vital role in supporting airport operations, including baggage handling, cargo services, and aircraft turnaround. The role involves both technical and manual tasks in a high-paced, airside environment where attention to safety and operational excellence is critical.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will handle a range of responsibilities to maintain operational efficiency:

Operate and inspect various types of GSE following safety and operational procedures.

Assist with loading and unloading aircraft baggage and cargo in line with load instructions.

Marshal ground vehicles safely around aircraft stands.
-
Manage ULD (Unit Load Devices) and trolley staging areas.
-
Escort and assist passengers requiring ambulance or special handling services.

Conduct regular inspection checks and promptly report any equipment defects.

Prioritize scheduled equipment servicing and coordinate timely repairs.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be eligible for this role, applicants should have:

A minimum of 10 years of schooling (High School Certificate).

At least 2 years of hands-on experience operating ground support equipment.

Prior on-the-job training in airport operations.

A valid UAE or GCC manual driving license.

Basic communication skills and a good awareness of operational safety.

Familiarity with Human Factors Training (HFT) and Dangerous Goods Training (DGT) is preferred.
