Role Overview

As an Occupational Health Nurse, your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality medical services to eligible staff members and their dependents. This includes routine health surveillance, pre-employment medical examinations, chronic condition management, and health promotion activities. The role requires a proactive approach to ensuring workplace safety, maintaining employee health standards, and providing immediate emergency care when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-employment and periodic health evaluations for aviation and engineering personnel, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Assess physical fitness, mental health, and overall well-being of employees while maintaining accurate records.

• Collaborate with management, safety officers, and healthcare professionals to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

• Communicate effectively with employees regarding health programs, policies, and concerns.

• Perform routine medical assessments for employees requiring airside driving licensing.

• Carry out health surveillance for staff exposed to workplace hazards.

• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed while monitoring patient responses.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient assessments and outcomes in line with organizational policies.

• Provide emergency response care and coordinate with emergency services as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

To qualify for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Degree or diploma in Nursing with at least five years of experience, including two years in aviation medicine, occupational health, or emergency nursing.

• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is desirable.

• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of first-response procedures and routine healthcare practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse team.

• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Knowledge of health promotion and education for diverse patient populations.
